Resident Beer Pro
Name: Patrick Ringel
Date Started: September, 2014
What got you interested in Beer: I was introduced to Craft Beer back in 2006 by a friend and instantly fell in love. I would go and buy new beers at the store trying different styles and breweries getting to know styles and regional differences. Next thing I knew it’s all I wanted to learn about.
Favorite local brewery: I have a couple. Mikerphone, Half Acre, Maplewood, Metropolitan. They are all great examples of innovation in beer and never holding back. Whether it is coming out with the next Big Hazy IPA or Adjunct stout to reinventing to what you can do with a lager.
What is your favorite beer: That is a very tough question as it varies based on my current tastes. However I will never turn down a Half Acre Daisy Cutter. One of the first pale ales that immediately stuck with me and is as good today as the very first one I had.
What makes Beerhead special: Beerhead is special in that we have a sort of standard that I feel other Craft Beer bars don’t have. I also think our huge emphasis on Local Breweries along with the relationships we make with those Breweries help us stick out from the crowd.
What would you like the world to know about Beerhead: We have a beer for everyone. Even if you only like Macro lagers. Our goal is to lead you down that path of Craft Beer and be your guide.
Anything else quirky and fun: I haven’t clean shaven my face in since November of 2014.
Favorite food to eat with Beer: Honestly I love a pilsner or a lager while eating Hot Wings but beer and food go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly. I haven’t found a bad combo yet.
Become a Beer GurU
Learn. Eat. Drink.
Curious guests can sign up for a condensed version of Beer ‘U’. In this session, they will learn more about beer and food pairings. For example, how sour beers can fit into your next dinner party.
This unique opportunity gives guests a chance to learn new tips and be more involved in the Beerhead experience. Work groups, private parties and friends can plan a custom tailored Beer ‘U’ program which are hosted at this location.
